The 2010 Rome Leadership Prayer Breakfast was held on May 6 with approximately 350 in attendance. Our worship music led us beautifully into our prayer time during which Christian leaders prayed for our community and nation. Our speaker, Mr. Dave Roever, brought an amazing testimony that was an inspiratio to all who attended. Once again, the Kastanias Brothers servied our breakfast and our decorating committee transformed The Forum into an intimate setting that welcomed everyone from across our community into worshp and prayer to the Father.
Our Prayer Breakfasts are totally self-sustainable, and we are looking for business and other sponsors. If you would like to be a part, contact us at 706.295.1409 or at
The first Rome Leadership Prayer Breakfast was held in March, 1994. Over a decade has passed, but the purpose of the Prayer Breakfast has remained the same: to unite area citizens to pray for our nation, our community and our families. The Prayer Breakfast speakers encourage morality and ethics in the community and raise awareness of the issues that surround and affect families nationwide. We are also challenged to make a difference for Christ right where we are.
We have had many well-known and interesting speakers, including Dave Dravecky, Frank Reich, Truett Cathy and Cal Thomas. Local leaders read scripture and lead in separate prayers for our military, police and firefighter personnel; elected officials; members of the medical and business community; educators and students; families; and pastors and churches.
